Hydraulic press machine discharge and shoreside coordination

Casper Renewables & Special projects turnkey project management encompassed all aspects from port handling to customs clearance, along with arranging specialised abnormal transport.

At the port of Sheerness, a shipment of 14 packages consisting of parts of a 1000-ton hydraulic scrap press machine with a total weight of 138 metric tons was discharged and transported to site.

The process included comprehensive vessel port services, covering port and berth bookings, discharge planning with ship and shore cranes, on-site representation at the quayside to facilitate the safe transfer from vessel to truck, given the equipment’s abnormal size.

We prioritised meeting customer expectations by adhering to delivery requirements, providing transparent communication from initial booking through to on-site delivery, and ensuring timely updates. The project was successfully completed, and the customer expressed their appreciation, stating, “Again thanks for your help.”
