Supporting Onshore and Offshore Wind

Casper Renewables & Special Project port agency and quayside discharge coordination

In the summer of 2024, our renewables and project team played a crucial role in coordinating 13 vessels at Scottish ports for the timely delivery of wind farm components, essential for meeting an onshore wind farm project deadline.

With tight timelines and limited quay storage, the project team maintained a sharp focus on clear communication and daily updates. This included reviewing weather windows, berthing prospects, and berth availability, as well as overseeing quayside services to ensure safe and efficient discharge of cargo.

The project involved the discharge of wind farm equipment from vessel to quay or transport, including 67m wind blades, 70mt monopiles, and 68mt nacelles, totalling 256 pieces. This endeavour showcased our capabilities as a trusted port agent and project logistics partner.
